Journalist and host of Onua FM’s Morning show, Godsbrain Captain Smart has descended into the gutters with the Agric Minister, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto.

The Minister had claimed that food prices have been stable despite data from the Agric ministry proving otherwise.

Speaking at a swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed members to the Irrigation Company of Upper Region (ICOUR), Dr Akoto stressed that data available in his outfit does not support the increment claims; thus, “it is a wrong perception.”

According to Dr Akoto, government’s flagship programme, Planting for Food and Jobs, has been successful so far.

Fuming to these claims on his morning show according to news portal mynewsgh, Captain Smart said the minister attends conferences and sleep like a baby, snoring like a goat then wake up to say that food prices have been stable.

Meanwhile Captain Smart was yesterday December 2, 2021 arrested by the Ghana Police following some pronouncement he made on live radio.

This portal reported earlier that the National Media Commission has cautioned the Management of Onua FM to call the Presenter to order.

According to the letter issued by the NMC, Captain Smart made some comments which appeared to be inciting listeners to rise up against the state and it’s institutions.

The Ghana Police later released an official communication on its social media platform announcing the arrest of the journalist to assist with investigation.

He was subsequently released same day after being given caution.
