76-year-old John Atteh, a resident of Dunkwao Kyekyewere has miraculously come back to the land of the living after being confirmed dead by doctors at the Kyekyewere Government Hospital in the Central Region for four days.

The son of Mr. Atteh, Deacon Joseph Mensah who was in a joyous mood after the father’s resurrection had organised some family members to pray for him.

Narrating the events on GhanaWeb, Deacon Mensah said he had received a call from his mother on Friday, July 17, 2020 that his daddy had passed on so he should come back home to help prepare the body for morgue.

According to him, after the call, he could not return immediately to Dunkwao Kyekyewere due to financial constraints so he came four days later, thus, Tuesday, July 21, 2020. He stated that he managed to get to the Kyekyewere hospital where he saw the body of his father wrapped with a cloth at the morgue with house flies hovering all around it.

Deacon Mensah, together with his mother and other siblings, surrounded the body and began to pray for divine intervention.

After praying for a while, Deacon Mensah asked everyone to stop praying. He then shouted the name of his father three times, “Daa, Daa, Daa, wake up; it is me your Son Joe. Wake up!” Immediately after the third shout, his dead father opened his eyes! Deacon Mensah exclaimed, “He is not dead. Let us help him sit up on the bed. Give him some water to drink!” Mr. Atteh sat on the bed and drank the water.

Graciously, the father remains alive as at the time this story was being published.
