23-Year-Old Man Slashes Girlfriend With Machete Over Misunderstanding

At Nsuta, a neighbourhood of Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region, a 23-year-old man allegedly inflicted several cutlass wounds on his girlfriend.

During a misunderstanding between them at around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Randolph Obeng inflicted a serious cut on Elizabeth Owusua’s left shoulder and both thumbs.

Elizabeth Owusua, the victim, managed to flee and reported to the Nkawkaw Central Police Station while bleeding profusely.

“At about 4:00 pm, there was some misunderstanding between her and the boyfriend, and in the process, the boyfriend inflicted cutlass wounds on her,” she informed authorities.

She was given a police medical report form right away, instructing her to seek care at any hospital and report back to assist with the investigation.

The suspect had not yet been apprehended.
