2024 Polls: We Must Make Our People Election Officials And Presiding Officers Just Like NPP Did – Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has charged professionals within the National Democratic Congress to apply for the positions of Presiding and electoral officers ahead of the 2024 polls.

According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has always taken advantage and made their people apply for such positions which helps them during elections.

Speaking at the annual conference of the NDC’s Professionals Forum’s in Accra on Thursday, 29 April 2021, the 2020 flag bearer of the NDC said: “If you have the qualification to be presiding officer or other electoral officer apply for it. Our opponent have taken advantage of it, so you find that when the EC advertises, many of their people apply and you know what kind of advantages that can give them.

“And so we need to get more of our members including our student movement to get involved in becoming party agents at polling stations,” he stated.
